Saudi Minister of Commerce & Industry Attends COMPACT’s Plant Expansion Inauguration Ceremony

COMPACT, member of Napco Group, holds inauguration ceremony of its new top-of-the line rotogravure printing machine at plant based in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. The event, held on 3 April 2012, celebrated COMPACT’s achievements and successful factory expansion plan. Saudi Minister of Commerce & Industry, Tawfiq Bin Fawzan Alrabiah, attended the event, along with top managers from Napco Group.

With the installation of the new printing press station, COMPACT’s ISO–certified plant increased productivity, efficiency, and output. The new web-fed printing press provides high print quality for film, foil, paper, board, laminates of varying thickness, and liquid packaging.

The ceremony commenced with a welcome speech from Jamal Al Moaibed, Authorized Partner of Napco Group & President of Al Moaibed Group. Jamal Al Moaibed presented the Minister with a miniature replica of the first paper folding machine set-up at National Paper Products Company Factory in 1956. Furthermore, the Minister presented an award to the first Saudi operator at National Paper Products Company, Issa Al Mohanna. Following the ribbon-cutting, attendees took a plant tour.

Al Moaibed introduced Napco Group, as one of the leading companies manufacturing paper and plastic packaging, as well as consumer products for local, regional and global markets. He also spoke about COMPACT, highlighting accomplishments and international certifications attained through trainings and use of the latest technology and industrial and managerial methods.

Al Moaibed addressed the synergistic relationship between Napco and SABIC, one of the world’s largest petrochemicals manufacturers. Napco flexible polyethylene (PE) film manufacturing plants exclusively supply plastic bags to SABIC, meeting high specifications and standards. Furthermore, he addressed developments in the local industry.
