As such, the program intends to encourage a healthy and active lifestyle while simultaneously protecting the environment and cleaning up public spaces for the benefit of the community. Thus, the goals of Napco National, which include contributing to the well-being of the people of Saudi Arabia and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), and actively conserving the environment, are aligned with our efforts in this regard.
Post event, Hejaz Ploggers presented Napco National with a report detailing the environmental impact of the initiative. They were as follows:
Two beaches were targeted.
1-Bahador Resort offered a scuba cleanup for 12 divers participating and collecting 50 kg of mixed waste.
2-Khaleej Salman beach welcomed a new record of 1050 participants, 50% of whom were students whereby 856 kg of plastic, 123 kg of glass, and 67 kg of metal were collected in less than 90 minutes.
A diverse group of people spanning different ages and from various backgrounds working together to create social change as well as healthy and eco-friendly habits. The team aims to nurture a healthy generation. Current activities focus on preserving physical health through jogging, while protecting the environment through collecting and segregating litter, and finally recycling the trash.
