Being perfectly aware that recruiting women results in increased profits and helps the business incorporate gender equality into the workplace, Napco Riyadh Paper Products opened in March 2016 a women-only production unit. The newly established unit comprises a large and comfortable working area capable of accommodating up to 30 ladies.
In order to create a productive and rewarding work environment that is in line with the kingdom’s strict customs and regulations, the human resources department at the company has equipped the unit with all the facilities and utilities (toilets, kitchen, supervisor room, mosque, etc.) needed to keep female workers motivated and sustain them throughout the day. A kindergarten for 6 children supervised by 1 baby sitter has also been secured for better working conditions and less stress.
A dedicated team, currently composed of 11 ladies, performs a variety of repacking tasks including promotional items and gifts arrangement. The work time is 5 days per week from 7:30 am to 3:00 pm.
The ladies production unit at Napco Riyadh Paper Products Company maintains high hygiene standards and best practices. Its establishment follows the Saudi government instructions to create more job openings for women and enable them to play a more important role in the country’s development.
