Sanita teamed up with Jordan Environment Society (JES) to launch the ‘Ghayer El Kees’ campaign, promoting recycling and raising awareness of eco-friendly biodegrable plastic bags by Sanita. The campaign, under the Patronage of Her Royal Highness (HRH) Princes Basma bint Ali of Jordan, ran from 25 to 26 October 2013 in Aqaba, Jordan.

‘Ghayer El Kees’ (Change the Bag) Campaign

On 25 October 2013, JES, with the support of Sanita, launched the ‘Ghayer El Kees’ campaign by setting up stands at two major malls in Aqaba: Aqaba City Center and Al Rahma Mall. The campaign also included stands at different supermarkets within the city. Representatives distributed samples of biodegrable plastic shopping bags, featuring the campaign logo, to pack consumer groceries.

On 26 October 2013, Sanita’s marketing specialists took part in a reception, presenting Sanita and INDEVCO Group’s global presence and reach, as well as focusing on environmental concerns.  The reception brought together executives and representatives from JES, Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority, Aqaba Tourist Police and the Social Security Investment Fund. Princess Basma bint Ali of Jordon was also present.

As part of the hygiene disposable products manufacturer’s commitment to the environment, Sanita continuously launches initiatives and develops products that promote environmental awareness, such as biodegrable trash bags and Natura brand of recycled tissue paper. At the reception, Sanita Regional team handed out Natura recycled tissue samples to the audience as a complementary gift.
