Napco National to Unlock the Circular Economy Potential at GPCA Forum 2022

As one of the largest global suppliers of circular petrochemical packaging, Napco National will exhibit at the 16th annual GPCA Forum, Stand #E15 from 6 – 8 December 2022 at the Hilton Riyadh Hotel & Residences in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Napco National actively pushes forward a circular economy of plastics in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) by partnering upstream with petrochemical producers, downstream with industrial, agricultural, and commercial companies and retailers, as well as with regulatory bodies and industry coalitions.

In line with GPCA Forum’s growing focus on shaping a sustainable future, Napco National will showcase its 24/7 upstream waste management services, polymer scrap recycling services, and range of sustainable petrochemical packaging at the leading event for the chemical and petrochemical industry.

Waste Management & Recycling Services

Recom, a branch of Napco National, offers petrochemical companies 24/7 on-premises waste management services to help manage operational housekeeping and safety and reduce logistic movements inside plants. The company also provides the petrochemical industry with upcycling and sustainable compounding solutions like recycled polymer and natural-resource carrier compounds, as well as certified recycled polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), and polyamide resins.

Recom sorts and bales plastic scrap and floor sweep collected by color and polymer type, then reduces the size, dry or wet washes, and extrudes polymer resins through mechanical recycling. The process regenerates the collected plastic scrap into similar applications, such as blow molding, blown, cast, compound, injection, and thermoforming.

Recom also recycles downstream, industrial, agricultural, post-commercial, retailer, and blue ocean plastic scrap, to reduce carbon emissions and divert plastics destined for landfills or incineration.

Sustainable Petrochemical Packaging Solutions

Napco National Packaging complements Recom’s waste management and recycling services with circular paper and plastic films and bags. Napco National will highlight its Form-Fill-Seal (FFS) bags with 50% less virgin material and reduced thickness to 100 microns, as well as its downgauged stretch hood films at 90 microns.

At GPCA Forum 2022, Napco National will showcase corrugated bulk bins and regular slotted containers; paper sacks, sheets, and edge protectors; PE sacks, films, liners, and sheets, and rubber wraps.
