Dammam, Saudi Arabia, November 20, 2018 (Napco National News Network) – Saudi-based Napco National will engage with regional and global petrochemical and chemical leaders to address upcoming circular economy and sustainable transformations in the industry, at their stand #D50.

From manufacturing plants in Dammam and Jeddah, Napco National serves the petrochemical and chemical sector with paper and PE bags and sacks, protective sheets and films, corrugated bulk bin liners and edge protectors, as well as shrink and stretch hood films, stretch films, and pallet covers.

‘Growing Together’ Towards a Circular Economy of Plastics

In line with GPCA’s commitment to address UN Sustainable Development Goals, Napco National supports customers in Saudi Arabia to achieve their environmental sustainability objectives by collecting and regenerating their plastic scrap and, thereby, reducing greenhouse gas emissions and diverting plastics from landfills.

Issam Chaaya, Vice President of Petrochemical Key Accounts, explains, “At Napco National, we work closely with our customers to help find solutions for their pain points and discuss future objectives to best address the plastic scrap recycling.”

By establishing a circular economy of plastics, Napco National offers 24/7 on-premises collection and recycling of polymer scraps, using fully owned logistic and equipment to service the upstream and downstream producers generating more than 3,000 MT/month of plastic scrap. The collected plastic scrap is then reprocessed into recycled resins at their facilities in Dammam and Jeddah and then converted into different new products that go back into the economy.

Further, Napco is engaged in addressing issues of national collection, sorting, and recycling of plastic scrap and packaging waste through strategic relationships with government entities and industry associations.
